Star Tours – Chapter 7

By Rebecca Love · On July 5, 2013

The rebel alliance urgently requires a new headquarters.  Having fled Corsicaa when it became too dangerous, there are top-secret plans afoot to establish a permanent base in Champs Elysee.  The Jedi need to share the proposed location of the base with the scattered alliance, but communicating this without revealing the secret to the Empire is a tricky task.

Sick of the in-fighting between the rebels, and in particular Marco Cavrissian and the Wookiee Grrreipel, Obi-Jens Kenobi takes matters into his own hands.  Loading the co-ordinates for the new rebel headquarters into the droid K4DR1, he takes off, hoping his speedy departure will not attract the attention of Darth Sagan.

Unfortunately, Darth Sagan catches wind that the co-ordinates may have been uploaded to the droid, and sends his troops out with orders to intercept.  The duo are soon apprehended by CannonTroopers.  Obi-Jens is a powerful Jedi master and is easily able to convince them that K4DR1 is not the droid they are looking for, and the pair continues, unimpeded, on their way.

Obi-Jens’s efforts to push Cavrissian and Grrreipel together appear to have been successful, as without the prospect of battle to stoke their rivalry, the pair seem prepared to put their differences aside.  Grrreipel remains polite, but quiet, while the genial Cavrissian chats animatedly with other members of the rival squadron.

Jedi Bakelants, knowing the importance of Obi-Jens’ mission, is determined to support his mentor and friend.  Taking Gaultier from Europ’car and the Ewok Oroz, he heads out in order to provide a distraction for the CannonTroopers.  Sure enough, he soon has a line of CannonTroopers on his tail.  Bakelants gets word from Obi-Jens that his mission has been successful, and is able to double back to the Jedi base, leaving the CannonTroopers thundering menacingly across the sky.  Darth Sagan may not have outwitted Obi-Jens this time, but there can be little doubt that the threat from the Sith lord is growing.

To be continued…
