Bruyneel makes major announcement

By admin · On June 24, 2012

Embattled cycling manager extraordinaire Johan Bruyneel called a press conference Saturday – just days after posting on his website of his intention to stay away from this year’s Tour de France – to announce his new career direction.

Bruyneel is excited about his latest venture

“The true reason why I am not returning to the Tour de France this year isn’t really because of this USADA business. No, I have founded Bruyneel Training Systems™, or BTS, in order to help the masses find their inner winningness in gran fondos, cancer charity rides, non-UCI sanctioned races, and triathlons. It’s only fair that I now share my immenseness with the greater public after being the winningest Tour de France director in history,” declared Bruyneel.

When asked if the pending USADA business had cast a pall over his new business venture, Bruyneel was concise.

“There are 28 million people who refuse to believe the allegations. I’m sure I will have a big enough base from which to work,” smiled Bruyneel, “This isn’t a criminal case, so the result really makes no difference to the cycling public willing to pay me for my services.”

Bruyneel’s fledgling BTS is in negotiations with the following ex-professionals to join their ranks as coaches: Paolo Savoldelli, Axel Merckx, Eddy Mazzoleni, and Abraham Olano. Bruyneel also mentioned the potential of Michael Rogers coming aboard upon the completion of his career at Team Sky, in which we witnessed his miraculous resurgence after a few years of challenges in his performance.

BTS will have two offices, one in Tuscon, Arizona and one in London, England. Bruyneel Training Systems™ will also offer training videos, caps, t-shirts, and cycling kits. Bruyneel hasn’t announced what his training concepts will be, only saying that once customers have paid and signed confidentiality agreements he’ll reveal his winningest formula that led Lance Armstrong to seven Tour de France wins.*

“I’m looking forward to working in the two cycling-mad countries of my homeland England and the land of opportunity that is the United States. The possibilities in England, thanks to Team Sky and David Brailsford, are tremendous. My guerrilla marketing teams will be handing out marketing pieces at strategic locations during the Games, including Box Hill,” concluded Bruyneel.

The cycling guru will be launching his new website, www.winright.com, in July at the conclusion of the Tour de France. Bruyneel plans on having a VIP event in Paris on the final day of the Tour, but due to a restraining order filed by the ASO, Bruyneel must remain 10 kilometres away from any ASO-related events.

You can view updates for Bruyneel’s latest venture at his personal website, www.johanbruyneel.com, where one can also obtain Bruyneel clothing and memorabilia at significantly discounted prices.
