In the US, there is are successful baseball and basketball leagues that are not directly associated with the governing bodies for Olympic baseball and basketball in the US.  Start separate body to focus on the organization and promotion of pro cycling and leave the Olympics to the UCI.  Is the once-every-four-years Olympic Games really that important to pro cycling?]]></description>

I would have thought the picking Qatar as a country for World Championships would be an obvious conclusion that money is the only objective... how can you have a World Championships off road cycling in a country where the largest altitude gain is roughly 145 feet.]]></description>
