I like Michael Pollan&#039;s advice  &quot;Eat food, not too much, mostly plants.&quot;

&quot;Eat food&quot; means to eat real food -- vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and, yes, fish and meat -- and to avoid what Pollan calls &quot;edible food-like substances.&quot;
