Halfway through the final criterium stage of the Santos Tour Down Under yesterday, RadioShack-Leopard-Trek’s Andy Schleck suffered a mechanical and after several laps of trying to chase back on to the main bunch, he quietly deployed the SchleckChute™ and dropped out of the race, electing to ride back to the hotel by himself.

Now we know why.
